We are going through very weird and crazy times, masks on our faces, and distancing is taking over our lives. So it becomes more important now than ever to have a hearty laugh once in a while, and what better than movies to do so. Since the theatres are locked and Netflix is our current BFF, here's a list of five underrated comedy movies streaming on Netflix which you can watch right away.

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

This comedy-drama starring Adam Sandler,  Ben Stiller, and Elizabeth Marvel is a story about dysfunctional siblings who come together and are trying to live in their father's shadow. It is all about grown-up kids trying to find emotional compensation and has many fun moments.

The Fundamentals Of Caring

Paul Rudd plays a retired writer Ben who is trying to heal from a personal loss and becomes a caretaker for Craig Roberts who plays the character Trevor who is just 18 years old and suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This one is not loud but a low key teen comedy which also stars Selena Gomes as Dot, a girl whom they meet during the road trip and who is trying to start a fresh life.

Dolemite Is My Name

Eddie Murphy is a gem of an actor and he proves it once again with Dolemite Is My Name. He essays the character of Rudy Ray More who is a man with a dream, a dream to make a movie no matter what and how. Eddie Murphy also got a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in this one, so do catch this light-hearted comedy for sure.

Mr. Roosevelt

Imagine a struggling comedian getting back to her home town only to find her cat ailing and having to stay with her ex and his current girlfriend. The premise of this movie itself is a treasure for situational comedy, so this one will make you chuckle for sure.

Cat Fight

Last but not least is Cat Fight starring the flawless Sandra Oh. While you all have seen her delightful performances in Grey's Anatomy and Killing Eve, she plays a vicious housewife Veronica in this one who hates her college friend Ashley and the rivalry never dies as Ashley is now a struggling artist and Veronica won't leave any stone unturned to play her cards right. Watch this one for a splendid performance and off course the laughs.
